Sharon Van Raalte (Foundation for Shamanic Studies Faculty)
Sharon Van Raalte has worked in many areas. From designing photographic exhibitions and publications and co-producing/directing two documentary films with the National Film Board, to coordinating an international exhibition of Inuit sculpture, and developing federal cultural policy, she acknowledges that her career opportunities have been rich and varied. She credits her experiences in the Arctic with helping to awaken the spiritual side of her nature. That, along with the birth of her two daughters, put her in touch with the power and simple grandeur of natural events and natural environments and set her off on a life-long quest to understand the dimensions of the human spirit and the trajectory of the human experiment. She has a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology and has advanced training with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. She is currently on the International Faculty of the Foundation, and has a counseling practice in Ottawa. Seminars Include; Shamanism and the Spirits of Nature
