At Tanglefoot Lodge we believe in getting the best out of life. We believe that a holistic model is the best way to do this. What is holistic health? Holistic health conceptualizes the person in a total way. This model generally holds that one must develop and maintain their physical, mental and spiritual/emotional health in order to live to their maximum potential. Similarly, it typically describes health as a continuum with death or disease on one end and vitality on the other. Thus, health is not just the absence of illness, but rather a positive state of well being.

What is the link between health and the environment? Just as the cells that make up our bodies are part of our personal ecosystem, we are part of a larger ecosystem. Toxicity at any of these levels will eventually spill over into all of the other levels.
