Music from Dusk until Dawn.

Sometimes Sound, Sometimes Silent, Always Listening... Listen, Sleep, Write, Paint, Meditate, Participate, Project, Reflect, Interject, Improvise, Transcend...  In simple terms, that is the program for the "Sound To Silence To Sound" event the night of May 20th, 2006 at Tanglefoot Lodge.  

Percussionist & composer Ray Dillard and Multi-Instrumentalist Greg Amann will be creating music from sunset to sunrise on an eclectic assortment of instruments.  Their broad palette of instruments span the exotic, the electronic and the traditional.  

The sounds you will experience will be as diverse as the instruments they are created with! Additionally, we will have musical “node” areas spread through the Lodge with some of Tanglefoot’s many instruments available for use. Participate in creating a space where player and listener change roles and then merge into one.  Ask questions.  Hear the instruments as they are set up. Be active in deciding how the space will function.  Relax and fall into a meditative groove in the beautiful atmosphere that is Tanglefoot Lodge. Experience sound and silence defining space and time. 

Witness the dawn blossoming through a wall of glass while listening to its improvisational musical reflection. As the piece dwindles into the early morning, the last musicians playing will be the birds and the wind.

Tanglefoot Lodge, Ray Dillard and Greg Amann are donating this time and space to help light the world with music and consciousness. In addition, we will be providing a midnight buffet at no cost. Although this event is by donation, there are limited spaces available and RSVP is required.
