Total well-being through holistic health and yoga ! You won't find a weekend course like this anywhere. The Renewal Weekend is designed to help us cleanse and reinvigorate the body, mind and spirit. Learn how to transform your life to a state of high vitality through the combination of yogic principles and holistic health. This weekend not only is designed to be fun and transformative in of itself, but also to provide you with the tools you will need to make lasting changes to the way you feel. Cleansing is done with a diet of vegetarian food and freshly made juices (fasting optional), yoga, sweats in the sauna, massage therapy, and hydrotherapy. Detailed instruction is given on how the various systems of your body function from both western and yogic perspectives. We learn not only about the physical body but the more subtle emotional and energetic pathways such as nadis and chakras. We learn how to cleanse and detoxify using pranayama and traditional yogic kryias. Dietary detoxification is also examined using a naturopathic perspective and you are given a detailed detoxification diet to use in the weeks following the retreat should you wish to. There is also plenty of time for fun. This retreat is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Beginner's Yoga Weekend, Intermediate Yoga Weekend, and Advanced Yoga Weekend to bring the participant to a deep understanding of yoga and total well-being. The instructors on this course are yoga teachers who are also holistic health professionals. Disciplines such as Ayurvedic medicine, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Nutrition, and Personal Training are represented (instructors may vary though the core teachings remain the same). The retreat starts any time after 5pm on the Friday night, and runs until approximately 3pm on the Sunday. The tuition for this course is $200 + gst per person (double occupancy), or $225 + gst single (non-refundable but transferable registration deposit is $100). This includes two nights accommodations (2 people in each room), vegetarian meals, classes and use of the facilities. We know you'll have a great time! See calendar for dates. Next weekend is March 28-30, 2008.
